Bridge Rehabilitation is generally done for economic purposes. The integrity of the structure itself (deck, supporting structures underneath) is sound, but may have isolated areas that need repairs.
Other bridge rehabs are cosmetic—painting, spot repair. Others can be full deck replacement due to deteriorating concrete. Some rehabs are to restore historic bridges to preserve a piece of history.
